Rakkenho 楽健法 is a holistic health practice from Japan that benefits body, mind, heart and spirit. Practicing Rakkenho promotes circulation, relaxation, health, and wellbeing. Rakkenho enriches relationships among family, friends, and community through fostering connection, communication, and intimacy.
Rakkenho was created by Yugen Yamanouchi, a priest from the Shingon Esoteric Buddhist tradition . He was also a master baker, artist, writer, and teacher of life. Yamanouchi Sensei lived at Tokoji Temple in Nara, Japan, where he ran the Rakkenho Headquarters Dojo. This site is dedicated to my teachers Yamanouchi Sensei, Kazuko Kuto Sensei, and the entire community of Rakkenho teachers and practitioners who keep the practice alive today.
